Cancellation & Refund Policy
At My Guanacaste Vacation we understand that life happens. Please find our cancellation policy below.
Cancellation Policy (except for Dec 26th to Jan 3rd):
I A processing fee of 5% is included in all bookings and is non-refundable.
ii. Guests who cancel at least 15 days before check-in will get back 95% of the amount they have paid.
iii. Guests who cancel between 7 and 15 days before check-in, will get 50% back. Otherwise, they will not get a refund.
Cancellation policy week of Dec 26th to Jan 3rd:
i. A processing fee of 5% is included in all bookings and is non-refundable.
ii. Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will be refunded 100% of the amount they have paid.
iii. Guests who cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, will get 50% back. Otherwise, they will not get a refund.
A security deposit will have to be paid before check-In date.
The security deposit is security for potential damages caused by Guest and shall be refunded within fifteen (15) working days following the Checkout Date. Deductions are made due to:
i.damage to the property or furnishings.
ii.dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning; or
iii.any other cost incurred by Homeowner due to Guest’s stay.
If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform the Property Manager immediately.
Situations of Force Majeure
In case Costa Rica closes its borders due to a force majeure like a Pandemic, the Guest will be able to postpone their stay. If the Guest wants a refund, this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
In case the property sells or for reason of force majeure, the Owner can cancel the booking, so long as he notifies the Guest 30 days before the check-in date. In case it is week 52 of the year, Owner must give the Guest 60 days notice.
We encourage all Guests to purchase traveller insurance. Please consult your insurance agent for assistance in procuring such insurance.
